Inspirational Jewelry: A Daily Reminder of Strength & Hope

Inspirational Jewelry Cover Cancer

As a VC-backed start-up founder in my 20s, I was no stranger to buying—or receiving—inspirational jewelry. From mantra bands engraved with phrases like "she believed she could, so she did" to symbolic necklaces that carried deeper meaning, these pieces stood the test of time, becoming cherished keepsakes tied to pivotal moments in my life.

That connection to meaningful jewelry took on a whole new depth when I was diagnosed with cancer. A group of hometown friends sent me a package filled with friendship bracelets inscribed with uplifting words. I wore them through every treatment, a constant reminder of my strength—and the love and kindness of others. To this day, inspirational jewelry remains one of my favorite things to both wear and gift, a tangible way to carry encouragement and connection wherever I go.

Below I’ve curated some of my tried and true brands and pulled what I think is the best of the best. The price points are all varied to suit any budget.

Awe Inspired

Everything I Need is Within Me Pendant

I'm absolutely obsessed with Awe Inspired. Lately, I’ve been gravitating toward sterling silver over plated gold—partly because I’m tough on my jewelry and need something durable. I own several pieces, and they’re truly stunning. Every time I stack my necklaces, I get compliments.

I chose this particular pendant because its message deeply resonates with me—especially after cancer, where you’re often stripped to the bare minimum, both physically and emotionally. It serves as a powerful reminder of resilience and strength. But honestly, the entire Awe Inspired collection is incredible—there’s something for everyone. I also love that the founder is a three-time cancer survivor who gives back, donating 1% of all sales to charity.

Angel Number Necklace

Another standout piece from Awe Inspired is the Angel Number Necklace, a meaningful way to carry symbolic guidance with you. For cancer patients and survivors, a few of my favorite angel numbers include:

111 – New Beginnings
333 – Optimism & Good Fortune
777 – Luck & Manifestation
888 – Infinite Abundance
999 – Renewal & Release

Each number holds its own powerful message, making this necklace a beautiful reminder of strength, hope, and transformation.

The vibrant aventurine stones are known for bringing luck and opportunity—making them the perfect gift for someone facing a tough time. Whether worn solo or stacked for extra good energy, this bracelet adds a beautiful pop of color with a powerful sentiment. Gorjana’s Power Gemstone also has a variety of stone selections from Inspiration (Apatite) to Protection (Black Onyx).

Little Words Project

Mystical Strength Bracelet

I can’t write about inspirational jewelry without mentioning Little Words Project. Nothing beats a classic word bracelet to uplift yourself or someone else. I also love the $25 price point, making these stacking bracelets one of my go-to budget-friendly gifts. With what feels like hundreds of phrases—like Believe, Badass, and Resilience—there’s truly something for everyone, no matter the mood or occasion.

Mantra

One Day at a Time Bracelet

Mantra is the OG of inspirational jewelry, and the quality speaks for itself—I still have bracelets from 10 years ago that look brand new. With hundreds of sayings to choose from, one of my personal favorites is "One Day at a Time"—a perfect reminder for anyone going through something tough.

When I talk to cancer patients, especially those just starting treatment, I always tell them, "Just put one foot in front of the other." It’s how I got through three cancer diagnoses and countless tests, procedures, and treatments. This bracelet carries that same message, making it especially meaningful to me.

Powerful, Beautiful, Brilliant, and Brave Necklace

Mantra also offers necklaces with inspirational messages, making them a beautiful and meaningful gift. I can personally attest to the durability of their plating—it holds up incredibly well, even after years of wear. So if you’re gifting a piece, you can feel confident knowing it will last and continue to inspire for years to come.

The number of times I repeated this phrase in my head during grueling, aggressive treatments is impossible to count. That’s why this bracelet is something I’d absolutely gift to a friend going through cancer—because it’s more than just a piece of jewelry; it’s a reminder of resilience in the face of a physically traumatic experience.

I especially love that it's made of Vermeil (plated sterling silver) and comes with a two-year warranty, ensuring it won’t turn into a throwaway piece after just a few wears. Whether you're gifting it to a friend who needs a little encouragement or wearing it as a daily reminder of your own strength, this bracelet is the perfect blend of sentiment and style.

Etsy truly is the land of “anything you can dream up,” and these bracelets are no exception. With the option to personalize your message and a price point of just $7 each, they’re a budget-friendly way to send a meaningful gift. I love the hemp corded detail—it’s a unique twist on the classic beaded friendship bracelet, giving it a slightly more earthy, handmade feel.

It’s the perfect little something to tuck inside a card or care package, and a thoughtful way to say “I’m with you” without spending a fortune. Small in size, big in meaning.
